"Before joining AlixPartners, I was torn between the allure of mature, respected firms and that of nimble, innovative startups. This place strikes a rare balance between respected industry leader and entrepreneurial venture. Within the context of our established firm, I get to thrive in an environment that encourages debate and creativity. I get to shape our business and carve out my own space, focusing on the challenges I’m truly passionate about."

In late February, my wife and I learned that our second baby would be arriving early. Although I had planned ahead for a leisurely transition off my project in mid-March, clearly the baby had other plans. When we talk about “family first” values here at AlixPartners, we really mean it. The team and my MD rallied to support me during a very rapid (one week) transition – making sure the client work would continue on pace while I turned my focus to the delivery. Our baby arrived three days later, and the firm’s family leave policy provided me with much needed time to get my wife back to health and find a new routine for our now family of four.

After six years inside a global, publicly traded corporation and 15 years in management consulting, I was looking for a role where I could help build an industry practice. I also wanted to be more focused on performance improvement projects in special situations, with a more practical, hands-on and results-oriented approach. At AlixPartners I found a fantastic family feeling, strong collaboration, and a unique and distinctive consulting model: Senior, small teams working together with our client to obtain concrete improvements.
As an Italian, I value the fact that the firm appreciates that we generally take a more creative and less structured approach to organizing the work – allowing us to manage and solve complex situations in a flexible manner. Since my very first project at AlixPartners – which turned into a multi-year advisory due to the good value creation we added – I’ve welcomed many opportunities to partner on projects and share knowledge with our global teams.
- Marco Eccheli
Marco is a director in our Milan office, specializing in the food and beverage segment of consumer products. His work covers a range of performance improvement areas, from procurement to operations, trade spending and go-to-market, and extended supply chain optimization.
"My career background is fairly different from that of most people I've met at AlixPartners. Since day one, my colleagues have viewed that as an asset. I'm grateful for the support I receive in producing work through unique means as well as the constant stream of interaction with inspiring individuals."
— Kaitlyn Bolton
Before AlixPartners, Kaitlyn's focus was in journalism and politics. While working in live news, she grew more interested in business affairs. She decided to seek out a business-oriented position that could match the fast pace and high pressure she was used to in the newsroom. She found that environment at AlixPartners, where she enjoys making an impact within the Talent Management team.
"As a restructuring consultant, I have the opportunity to take a hands-on role in driving change for our clients. Unlike many consulting firms, we don’t just prepare strategy documents or establish cost savings targets, we typically work alongside management to deliver against our clients’ most important objectives."
— Luke Ericson
