Houston, TX (September 28, 2017)—Global advisory firm AlixPartners announced today that the Houston Business Journal has named Managing Director Becky Roof a finalist in its second annual “Women Who Mean Business” awards. She was recognized in the “Outstanding Business Leader in Professional Service” category.
Ms. Roof received nominations from both clients and professional peers. C&J Energy Services recognized Becky for guiding and supporting the company through its successful restructuring effort. Haynes and Boone, a leading US law firm, recognized Becky for not only providing outstanding advice to her clients, but also working effectively with a range of outside parties from law firms to creditors and investors. Both nominations highlighted her calm demeanor, collaborative leadership style, and vast experience.
Ms. Roof was also recognized for opening AlixPartners’ Houston office and spending a significant amount of time and energy on community and civic activities.
Houston Business Journal’s “Women Who Mean Business” awards recognize exemplary women in the Houston area across eight categories. A panel of industry experts will select the finalists based on criteria that includes career achievement, contribution to company, community involvement, and demonstrated leadership.
Ms. Roof and the other finalists will be honored at an awards ceremony at the Marriott Marquis in Houston on October 26.
